  • Silvana completed her undergraduate degree in physical education at Wilfrid Laurier University and received her physical therapy degree from Queen’s University in 2001 where she was a varsity lacrosse athlete. She continued post graduate studies with McMaster’s contemporary medical acupuncture program and with the orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy association. Her clinical focus is on treatment of various peripheral and spinal injuries that are related to orthopedics and sports. In addition in 2011, she began taking courses in women's and men's pelvic health; and treats various conditions related to urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and pelvic pain disorders. She also enjoys training, coaching, and playing lacrosse and is involved with Burlington Minor lacrosse and is the head coach at McMaster University. Furthermore, she also acts as a preceptor for McMaster Physiotherapy students .

  • Steven completed his bachelor of Kinesiology at Redeemer University in 2013 and pursued his Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario, in which he completed in 2016. He has completed courses in both manual therapy and soft tissue release to help further his skill-set. He focuses on neuro-musculoskeletal injuries in a wide variety of populations including post-surgical, geriatrics, neurological disorders and sports related injuries. Aside of work he enjoys being active, playing basically any sport, traveling and spending time with his friends and family.

  • Jay is a Physiotherapist Assistant, Certified Personal Trainer, and Athletic Trainer. He completed his degree in Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India in 2009. His passion about health and fitness made him to come to Canada where he did his diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Fanshawe College, London, ON in 2012. During his days at Fanshawe College, Jay got the opportunity to work as a Varsity Athletic Trainer for various sports teams like soccer, basketball. His duties included providing immediate treatment of sports injuries, performing protective taping and maintaining medical records. Jay has wide variety of experience working as Physiotherapist Assistant in various Long Term Care homes, OHIP clinics, and Sports Medicine clinics. Jay takes great pride in assisting Physiotherapists develop, implement and execute exercise prescription for variety of population starting from athletes to elderly. Jay is also a Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT) and motivates his clients to set and achieve their fitness goals. Outside of his work, Jay loves to spend his free time with his family and friends. He also loves to watch and play sports like soccer and cricket.

  • Amanda is an Athletic Therapist who recently moved back home to Canada from the United States. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from James Madison University in 2011 and went on to earn her Master's Degree in Athletic Training from West Virginia University in 2013. Amanda has experience working with all age groups, but has spent the majority of her career working with young athletes. On her off days you can find her outside running with her two dogs or spending time with her family.

  • Chris Grolla is a Registered Kinesiologist, Certified Athletic Therapist, and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He Graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science from Sheridan College, and continued his education at Indiana State University, earning a Master’s of Science, in Athletic Training. Chris has a wide variety of experience in the rehabilitation and sport performance fields. He has worked with athletes from the high school level, to University, to club teams, in sports such as hockey, lacrosse, rugby, football, and tennis. He also has extensive experience with clinical rehabilitation, finding post-operative and chronic cases most interesting. Chris values the teamwork and collaborative effort of the Upper James Physio team. He shows passion in working with multiple healthcare professionals to bring top quality care to their patients. On Chris’s free time, you can find him somewhere outside with his wife! He loves to play sports and be active, with cycling, sailing, hiking, and snowboarding being top on his list. He is a true adrenaline junky!
